This isn't an issue, but I just wanted to know if anyone else noticed they were receiving messages when they weren't connected to wifi or data.
This has happened several times when I'm in a building where I have the wifi saved, but I'm not connected.

Strange, isn't it?
I recenly was notified of messenger messages. But it did not open a bubble because of permission disabled.
I was not even connected to messenger (not opened).
My opinion is: messenger or other such-apps briefly connect to internet to check new status or message from contacts online, then disconnect.
sms backup plus has such behaviour, according to your settings.
