I have a Galaxy S5 Active and like it. My phone company is offering a Galaxy J3 for sale. If this an upgrade or a downgrade? I cannot find much on it.

That's a downgrade. Poorer specs. Not recommended.

Galaxy S5 is the best, J series have defects
