What device you have?
Usually your manufacturer provides you a backup tool - you shoud use that one. For e.g. for Xperia you can use Sony PC Companion.

To backup the whole device, you can do as the following steps:
1. Download the third-party program, install and launch it on your computer.
2. Attach your device to PC, enable USB debugging, and tap "Allow".
3. Tap "Backup &Restore" from "More Tools", select all data types, and click "Backup".
To prevent your Android phone data from losing, back up your Android data frequently so that you can prevent the data from being deleted forever. It will help.
