Casting with Miracast Video Adapter on Ellipsis 8 QTAQZ3 for Verizon Fios Mobile app

Hello, I am having trouble Screen casting with a specific app.

I have:
Miracast Video Adapter
Ellipsis 8 QTAQZ3 (rooted)
Verizon Fios Mobile app

I can cast on the TV but when I try and play the Fios app it only shows a black screen and sound. It seems like the Fios Mobile app is blocking screen casting on the TV. Is there anyway around this?

please advise on any solutions
