maps.me location

I hope I have selected the right forum, this is new to me.
I have maps.me on my Asus, but when i wish to for example find my way home from wherever I am, the map always shows my home location and not the position where I am as I would expect the GPS to tell me, (it does on my iphone map)
Unless I can bet wifi it stays at the home location. Am i doing something wrong?

I may not be able to offer any direct help but I am having the same issue: the app is not able to find my position, it keeps on asking "are you in a building, in a tunnel?" very frustrating. I have used HereweGo for navigation with much better results, no issues with position at all, even inside my own house!
