Developers face many challenges when building products. Figuring out how to build apps that earn more is one of the most common obstacles to overcome.
Finding the right methods for monetizing mobile applications can be confusing. Many believe that advertising is the most viable revenue stream, but it doesn’t have to be the only one.
One new option comes from Tutela Technologies, a cloud-based, big data platform for wireless network monitoring. Tutela has developed a partnership program that allows developers to create new revenue streams. These revenue streams will help the developer make more money without adding any in-app advertising.
Creating a New Revenue Stream with Tutela
Through the recent launch of the new Online Partnership Portal, developers gain access to tutorials and guides on how to embed Tutela’s software development kit (SDK). Tutela’s SDK integrates with any mobile app and collects anonymous network performance data such as download speeds and signal strength. This data is then sold to wireless carriers and Tutela’s developer partners receive a portion of the revenue. The SDK will not affect a developer’s current ad network revenue stream, allowing developers to create a new revenue opportunity.
SDK Configuration
Although collecting data has a device impact, our SDK configuration makes this impact minimal on the developer’s user base with just a 1% battery usage increase, 1Mb added on iOS, and 1Mb to 3.5 Mb added on Android. The CPU impact is negligible. Collection, which includes no user IDs, can be turned down or turned off at any point upon request.
Getting Started
Are you ready to add a new revenue stream to your app? It only takes 20 mins to integrate our SDK through the step by step process. Start making more money with your app!
