I sent, through Whatsapp, contact details to a friend & it also sent the last message I sent to.that person!
How very embarrassing!!!
How can I prevent this happening again?

You have selected the message and sent it with it, so next time while you send a contact check whether any other message is selected or not.

I only went to my ph contacts & chose the contact by name so for some reason it's taken it from the contact information. I hadn't even open her whatsapp details in a couple of months.
It was from my phone contact sent through Whatsapp......
