Player app which plays mp3 on the device that have not been played yet?

I recently drove across the US listening to mp3 on my Samsung Tab 4 thru the Rocket Player - shuffle mode. On the second day of the drive, I stopped the shuffle mode and switched to some podcasts. When I was finished with that, I put it back into shuffle mode again, but I noticed that it would play songs it had played on the first day. What I'd like is a player that will play the songs that haven't been played yet...a persistent shuffle mode , or one that offers sorting by number of plays in reverse? I have downloaded several other players but none have that feature. Anyone know of a player app w this feature?
