Android Developer
Marxent is seeking motivated, productive mobile software engineers who are fascinated by emerging mobile technologies, thrive in a high-energy environment and can start immediately. Interests in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality are a plus. Position is located in Dayton, Ohio. Candidates should be flexible and capable of wearing multiple hats.

Purpose
The Android Developer is responsible for building advanced applications for the Android Platform. The candidate is required to work with Project Managers, Designers, and other team members daily to ensure the product exceeds client expectations.

Responsibilities Include
Building intuitive, exciting new user experiences for mobile and/or tablet
Taking ownership of projects
Working closely with product management, designers, and other teams
Rapidly fixing bugs and resolving pressing problems
Conducting design and code reviews
Desired Skills and Experience
Excellent programming skills in Java or in web applications development
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering preferred
Experience working with Android APIs including Google Play Services, Adapter and Delegate patterns, AsyncTasks/Threading, the Application lifecycle, and core java utilities and structures.
Experience with supporting multiple SDK versions
Experience building high performance applications in memory and bandwidth constrained platforms
Experience with third party libraries and APIs
Strong communication and documentation skills
Strong sense of design and user experience
Demonstrated ability to learn on the job
Cross-trained in iOS and Android preferred
Passion for exceeding expectations
Developed and published applications that have been made available in either iTunes App Store or Google Play
