Samsung Galaxy S3 mini — Can't see photo's in the Gallery

Hi my Girlfriend has one of these phones, she took a photo the other day and the phone went wierd.

Basically when entering the gallery the thumbnails are blank now. and when she selects one it says uploading and just sits there with the little circle going around and around.

any idea's ??
