If you have any problems with your Galaxy Note 4, or if you buy a second hand model with somebody else's data on it, you may wish to perform a factory reset to get everything back to normal. Here is how to do it.

Warning: it is impossible to recover your data after doing a factory reset, so online backup is always important. For all of your data, a backup should be done on an external device, hard drive, raid system or media (try Helium). Take out SIM card before full reset. This shouldn't delete the data on your external SD card, but as a precaution, remove as well.

How to factory reset the Galaxy Note 4
1. Tap Apps.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Scroll to 'USER AND BACKUP,' and tap Backup and reset.
4. Tap Automatic restore untick it, if you wish.
5. Tap Back up my data to untick it, if you wish.
6. Tap Factory data reset.
7. Tap Reset device.
8. If you have screen lock turned on, you will be asked to enter your PIN or password. Enter it.
9. Tap Continue.
10. Tap Delete all.

And that's all there is to it, folks. Did this work for you?
