I have the same issue with Favebook Messenger:
WhatsApp doesn't respect my S4's notification profile, that is, when in ringing mode and I switch to vibrate WA won't vibrate on getting a message; if it turn on vibrate in the app then put my phone in ring or silent, WA still vibrates. This is crazy having to go in app just to change the notification setting, it should inherit it from the phone's settings like every single other app.
Does anyone else have this problem or even a solution, it's driving me nuts.
