How to promoting a fitness app?

Hi, we have released an android app for heart rate measurement and we are really struggling in marketing. Although we believe it is a quality app and has a great potential, it is very hard to get a number of reasonable downloads. I am wondering if anyone has any idea and let us know what is going wrong? We also open to collaboration to market the app.

I can try to test.. Do also favor for me - test my first android app:
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapmatch

I did it for my 11 year girl to help him learn english, but do not know if that works on other tablets also.. I have only tested it in my galaxy tab 2 10,1"...
