Google Nexus 4 — Nexus 4 Problem running an app

Hi everyone, can anyone help please, I have bought and installed the Lishi 2in1 ref guide app on playstore and when I try to load and save a tool list within the app nothing happens, I contacted the developer who was as helpful as possible he also refunded my money and gave me a free updated version but still no luck he say's that he has not had this fault with anyone else and suggested it might be my phone which is an LG Nexus 4. What I need to know is is there a setting I should have switched on or disabled that would let this app open fully. Thanks in advance if anyone can help. Regards Tony.
