WHY WIFI NOT OPERTIONAL - SM-T217S LTE

It is absolutely ridiculous that this kitkat system with knox was released. it has created so many issues I am sure it has made many very livid with anger as I am.

I reloaded the original system build which came with the device [ JDQ39.T217SSVPUAMH9 ].
Problem is cannot get wifi to initialize.
Any patches available for this ??

And also, I noticed when I pull up "about device" in settings both the 'software-version' and 'hardware-version' categories show either "unknown" or are blank.

Did I miss something ??
