HELP!!??!!??

I recently purchased a tablet (described as MID Google Android 10 in tablet) from "nomoreracks". The app and built-in functions are REALLY slow. In addition to the lack of or extremely slow response the tablet has begun to flash messages that certain apps are non-responsive and asks if I want to close the app by want to "Wait", "Report" or "Ok". This continues through a number of the apps (G mail, Facebook, messenger etc.). It has also begun to flash an ominous red border sometimes.

Yikes! Do I return this or is there a setting(s) that I can change to make this beast move faster? Please let there be a fix otherwise I need to return it in the next few days.

Well @PMercedes, I would say if you're having the option to return it and get a new one in next few days then I would say this is the best possible solution, but if you try giving a shot to make your device faster here have a look at the post "Is Your Device laggy? Here's how to fix it".
