Reboot my android device programmatically

I am sure that is possible with the help of some applications I think but I need to think more about it........ hmmmm

There's an app for that... It's called Schedule Reboot, funnily enough, free on the play store. It gives the option to fast reboot on screen off or on (basically shuts down all running user apps), or to schedule a full boot.

For an app to have the ability to reboot it would need superuser authority, and therefore root.

If your phone's not rooted then you won't be able to use an app like that. Like I said before, for any app to reboot your phone it needs root authority; only system apps have that on a non-rooted phone.

You can't use an app to reboot without root. You can use a script to reboot but you need root to run a script. So basically, if you don't want to root your phone you have no options.
