I got the ascend p6 for my wife and everything was working fine until I tried to change some of the background data settings that were running to save some data. Since then WhatsApp only receives messages when the app is open. I've checked background data is enabled and data sync is active even notification set to receive. Now considering a hard reset. If possible i want to avoid this. Ive seen similar issues reported for other phones but i am yet to find a solution without hard reseting the phone. I suspect its either something I missed or persistent software issue. Ascend p6 is a great phone, but its settings differ just enough to make it seem more complicated than my galaxy s3. Please assist?
