I keep checking for my update to jelly bean, which I understand was re-started on the 10th of this month (aftet T-Mobile suspended it, due to excessive bugs). Do you have any inside information on how long it will take for the update to make the rounds?

Hi Susan, the roll out of Jelly Bean for the Optimus L9 (after it started in April and then withdrawn due to bugs) started again on T-Mobile about two weeks ago. You can check their support page at: http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-5752
to see what you need to do based on your current version. Beware though, there's been quite a few complaints about the Jelly Bean update already!

Poorer battery life is the big one. Also some random freezes and crashes but that could just be certain devices having issues, not a general problem. But the bevy of new updates you get with jelly Bean is probably ultimately worthwhile, unless you're happy with the old OS. Just thought I'd keep you informed! Let me know what you think if you do install the update.

Hi Aamir, fortunately you have options. First, try downloading an app that will let you ''force move'' apps to the sd card. There's plenty out there but a couple of decent ones are link2sd and move2sd. They will allow you to move apps to the sd card, and move2sd also let's you set defauly locations for future installs. Let me know how you go!

Thanks for reply,
Link2sd need to partition sd card which phone does not recognize and move2sd is redirecting to phone settings app manager.
Internal memory is Emulated as external sd .How to deal with it.

In the language and input /keyboard settings there's an option for "handwriting ", with choice of pen style and color. I haven't figured out how and where to use it. Do you know? Thanks.

you can use it to write message or anything in free style like you are writing with pen . In compose message keyboard you will find a key having a pen markk on it .Down left of screen . enable it and you will get a plain board like screen where u can write in free style.

Thanks! ✍
After playing with it a bit I figured out that the Google Voice Typing has to be disabled for the pen to show up (rather than the microphone).
The info about looking for the pen was helpful.
