1080p contents run slow on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

In the first place, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a great media player. It plays most of my videos smoothly. The only problem I have had is some 1080p contents tend to run slow on Galaxy Tab 10.1. Lower resolutions run pretty well. When it comes to some 1080p .mkv and avi videos, the playing speed slows down. I think it has to do with the hardware itself, because I’ve tried several other media players beside the stock player. Any suggestions?

My Galaxy Tab 10.1 plays 1080p mp4/avi/mkv without hassle. What’s you file information?

If the 1080p films aren't working so well on your Galaxy Tab 10.1, you can use a comprehensive 1080p Video converter that runs on your Windows or Mac called Foxreal to convert the file into a more appropriate size.

First, add your 1080p video to Foxreal on your PC or Mac. Then, click on "settings" and set the screen size as 1280x75 - this is the ideal size if you're looking for the film to stretch across the entire screen with no black bars on the top and bottom. Convert the file by clicking on the button that says "convert." Then copy and transfer the converted movie files to Galaxy Tab via USB.

i have used the moboplayer, it can play 1080p mkv smoothly, you can try it.

Hii. I have tab 10.1. I downloaded mob player and tried to play 1080. Mkv file on it. But its so slow... Ne solution to this. Plz help

Try out MX Video Player. It works great on my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
