This is a common problem. Here are the likely reasons, the Main reasons:

The effect of the Windows firewall.
The closure of access to the antivirus program.
Incorrect DNS settings.
Incorrect entry of the Proxy server.
Spotify crashes.

You can check these.
Check the Windows firewall.
Turn off the antivirus program.
Spotify has crashed.

For the issue of Spotify says no internet connection:
1. Check your network connection and settings
2. Force quit Spotify and restart
3. Disable security software
4. Clear Spotify cache
5. Use AudFree Spotify Music Converter to download Spotify songs for offline listening forever on other players. Many users report this tool, so I get it in this troubleshooting list.

To solve this problem, you can follow the below steps:

  1. Head over to the device Settings > Wireless & Networks (More).
  2. Mobile Network > Select the preferred SIM that you’re using for the internet.
  3. Go to Access Point Names > Here you can see a couple of APNs (Internet, WAP, MMS, etc).
  4. If in case, the WAP or MMS is selected, just tap on the ‘Internet’ to change the APN. (If the ‘Internet’ is
already selected, just select WAP or MMS and change back to the ‘Internet’ option again)
  5. Once done, either you can restart your device or turn on Airplane mode for a few seconds to refresh the
    internet connectivity.
  6. Now, launch the Spotify app again and check whether the internet is working or not.

Or you could try to download Spotify songs by using Tunelf Spotibeat Music Converter for offline listening.

The easiest one to check is to see if Spotify has been set to be in offline mode First, open Spotify From the Spotify menu at the top of the screen, check if "Offline Mode" has a check next to it If it does, simply select Offline Mode again to clear the check.

Thanks that s really helpful tips. BTW I try the AudKit Spotify Music Converter for Windows and use it to download Spotify songs. It works well but the free trial only allows to convert 1 min of the song. Is it normal?

I've had this problem occasionally before. The support guy from Spotify said it needs to have a stable connection.
Given VPN factor, I found a solution to circumvent this situation.
I used AudFun Spotify downloader to download all my playlists to mp3, and then I can enjoy smooth music listening at all my devices.
Worth a try!

This problem with Spotify is since 2012 and every time when I dropped the message in the community forum they only have one answer kindly check your internet connection. My internet connection is working properly but this issue is never resolved.
