Whatsapp not recognising screen touches

Question

Sometimes when I click on a convo in WhatsApp I get the highlighting of the box but it doesn't open and I usually have to tap it again to get it open.
Is this an issue experienced by anyone else?

Look for the app, select Storage, and Clear Data. Then Force Close the app and then Uninstall it. Then try reinstalling and see what happens. If nothing different happens, then just do what everyone else suggests and clear the cache, then restart the phone to see if works then.

I also use Whatsapp and sometimes it doesn't open, I just turn off the internet, clean the whole phone and restart, try this

Right. In addition, update your WhatsApp to the latest version from the Google Play Store.
