Yes, node.js is good and is used for building fast and scalable applications and is an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model. But PHP is specially designed for web development. There are some best PHP Frameworks in 2019 like Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP, etc

No, I wouldn’t consider node.js really good for backend development, though it depends on what you’re trying to accomplish.

The core idea of node.js is to take a very flawed language that’s a necessity for frontend web development and bring it into a domain, namely backend web development, where there are lot of good alternatives.
