Rooted, Leedroid R149, Cleanslate kernel.

SOT is between 2 and 3 hours now, used to be better. I'm not a heavy user, Reddit, Instagram, sometimes camera, WhatsApp, phone calls average about 10-15 minutes a day. Also, network is set to 2G almost all day, 3G only sometimes. Mobile data is turned on only when I need it to check messages.

When I charge it, gets very hot, now it's 51°С, unplugged a few minutes ago. Temperature this high, at least in my opinion, is not normal and it's killing the battery slowly. I think I'm gonna switch to 1.5A charger. What's your opinion on this?

Biggest problem is that it can't last until 7pm, always drops under 15% before 4pm.

Any tips to improve battery life? Thanks!

Close all your apps when you are done using them.
Turn off your GPS and your WiFi signal locater until you need to use them.
Disable Google chrome and use the regular Google search.
All these items are battery hogs!
As far as your phone heating up !
Try to NOT use the device when you are charging it.
If I think of more I'LL BE BACK!😎

I wouldn't experiment with different chargers! Use the one that came with your device. it's the safest thing to do!
Using a different charger could void your warranty!
You can also turn down the brightness of your screen. that uses a lot of power also!☺
