Hi all!
I have another one of my unusual questions!
For sometime now google has been nagging me to set up a back up gmail account. And i am trying to figure out why.
I don't use my phone for business, i don't save my emails (i read them then delete them). I don't take and store pictures.
I don't even have or create any files in my phone! I even have my cloud storage and drop box disabled!
So-can anyone tell me what benefits are there for ME to set up this back up account?
Or a even better question,
What will google gain if i do set up a back up gmail account!
(Considering the fact that google doesn't do anything unless there is something in it for them! )
Please forgive me for being suspicious and negative concerning Google, but i have learned the hard way in the past that google is not to be completely trusted!
So why are they pushing me to set up this back up gmail account?

Found the answer! It wasn't a back up email address Google wanted me to set up. They wanted me to back up my files in some type of a google storage file on thier computer! But with the new phone I purchased I was able to stop the notification or opt out!
problem solved!

Seem to me that another gmail address would be another opportunity for a hacker or scammer! Wouldn't it?
