Hi all,

Really looking for help. I have a Huawei Y7, model: TRT-LX2, EMIO version 5.1.1 and Android version 7.0.

All my media keeps pausing at random - music player, Youtube, video player, radio and podcast apps, Facebook videos, literally everything.

I have Googled the hell out of it and followed all suggestions but nothing works. I've run updates, factory reset, closed background apps, monitored system to see if anything unusual was running whilst the pause happened.

Please help! Any advice really appreciated.

If there is too much task running on the phone, this can cause your problem. The same goes for if the service provider/carrier is having data issues or you have a data slowdown/cut off limit.

Try closing the other apps you aren't using at the time. In the case of media programs like those, you should only be running one of them at a time.
Also, if you are running any of it through the browser instead of individual apps, the browsers cache could be overly full and slowing you down.
Lastly, make sure that all the apps you are using are actually updated.

Yes, I've tried this. I have just Youtube running, everything else closed, still pausing at random.

So, what about the performance of your data plan?
Does this issue still exist when your device connects to internet via WLAN other than mobile data?

So now it is clear. It's an issue about your mobile data. (smug)

No, it is not my data. This is happening all the time on Wifi and on mobile data. I work from home so mostly connected on Wifi and it keeps happening.

VLC Media plays almost anything on any platform, any time, any place. It’s great. Lately, however, I’ve been having issues with VLC skipping whenever I’m playing high-def media streaming over a network.

If there is to much running on the phone, this can cause your problem. The same goes for if the service provider/carrier is having data issues or you have a data slowdown/cut off limit. Which most do.

Try turning off (actually closing out of the app) the other programs you aren't using at the time. Then in the case of programs like that, you should only be running one of them at a time. Otherwise expect problems. Also, if you are running any of it through the browser instead of individual apps, the browsers cache could be overly full and slowing you down. Lastly, make sure that all the apps you are using are actually updated.
