Missing photos

Hello Everyone,

I registered especially to enter a WhatsApp forum as advertised, but WhatsApp doesn’t seem to be amongst the headings! I shall ask the question and if it is inappropriate for this forum I shall unsubscribe!

Up until today, when I received a photo in a message in WhatsApp, and opened the photo, it entered my Gallery. It remained in the Gallery even after the message had been deleted.

Today, I received two messages each containing photos. I deleted both messages after opening the photos to look at them and sadly, the photos have now disappeared from my Gallery as well!

Is there a ‘secret’ move that will keep them in the Gallery after the message has been deleted? I don’t really want to have to archive the message and end up with an archive full of useless messages, just to keep the photo in the Gallery.
