Hi,
I am trying to open and take a preview image using camera2 API but it is soooo dark.
I have read about it on the net, but every solution I found didn't solve the problem.
How can I solve it??
(When doing the exact things and open back camera - everything looks great. Only the front is dark)

Did you try it in a dark environment? Perhaps the illumination is not good.
Also, did you clear your front camera?

Yes, I tried on different environments, and it is really very dark when the environment is darker, but it is too dark if I compare it to the build-in Samsung camera. (I checked it on house light and almost didn't see a thing).
The only time I see something is when I am under a fluorescent lighting.

Yes. Exactly.
The back camera is OK. Only the front one. And I don't know how to see a brighter preview...

In my case both cameras front and back are dark completely. Worth to mention that in emulator everything works well.

Any suggestion?

BTW. my phones are Asus Zenfone 3 and Zenfone 5

In my case, I'm using CameraX. The preview is tooo dark for the user to see. It only happens on EDC device (Android 5.1), although CameraX is meant to support Android 5 and above. The same app on normal phones works normally. Weird error.
