Whatsapp Tagging Problem

I have a tagging (new feature) issue with whatsapp and need help.

Try to tag a group member at group chat level by typing "@" (or "Q*@") in the message input box but this did not bring up the group member list for selection. Looks like the list was somehow suppressed or blocked but do not know where this can be fixed.

Whatsapp is @ v2.16.396.

I experienced that before. I just uninstall my whatsapp and reinstall. Then repeat the tagging process. And it works with me, try to do it as well. Good luck.
