Motorola Moto G — Lost Quick Settings and use of central "O" button

i was uploading internal memory to the SD while going back and forth on Whatsapp and Messenger, a call came in, and the phone crashed. Black screen. So I shut it down, and when it rebooted it had to "update".
In so doing, I lost access to the drag-down Quick Settings.
Also, the central button is useless now.
I tried to factory reset, but even that is unavailable to me.
Any ideas?
