Multiple Whatsapp accounts on same number?

Hi! Is it possible that you have multiple whatsapp accounts (contacts, groups, etc) on a same SIM or phone number?

I've just installed Android-x86 on a virtual machine with latest version of Whatsapp.apk and apparently it is possible to have more than one Whatsapp account linked to a same phone number (same phone number containing different whatsapp accounts with different contacts, groups, etc).

Can anybody confirm this please?

Technically you cannot, as i see. But the best bet is to use the cloned Whatsapp. Actually I got this one, finding it is as safe as any other app out there but would suggest not to put any sensitive data on any app OUT THERE. When launching it, you may run the two whatsapp accounts simultaneously. Cheers

In a normal setting it is not possible, but yeah you can have a WhatsApp patch and can run twin apps of WhatsApp, but with different contact lists

Officially, you may not have two WhatsApp accounts on one phone or same number. But, since most phones now come with dual-SIM and have clonning of apps within phone. Like you can have whatsapp and gb whatsapp on same phone but make sure to have it on different numbers for verification purposes. Its not uncommon for users to want to set up both numbers with WhatsApp even though they only have one device.
