I've got the samsung s5 neo and I've been waiting to get an update on my software I'm on lollipop 5.1 when will I get the marshmallow update could someone let me know

How often is the system supposed to update? I am on Verizon, I bought a used S5 a month ago. Verizon has been sending "system updates" almost daily for the past 2 weeks. I can't figure out why it's happening every damn day.
Android version: 5.0

Thanks for the heads up. Because of your post I was able to update Hubby's Sprint S5 to Marshmallow last night. :D
