MachSpeed Trio 7C How to I get and install apps

PlayStore does not run on this tablet with Andriod 4.01. How can I obtain and load apps? Alternatively how can I upgrade the version of Android operating system? My main objective is to get some music apps like iheart radio or Pandora so I can use this tablet as a radio.

I have read some of the threads from several years ago that offered links to Amazon and the like but when I tried to use them it identified my tablet as an IOS device which of course did not work out well.
