Some emojis showing as blank

A friend has an iPhone, most emojis she sends me displays correctly in my WhatsApp on my Galaxy S5 mini. But sometimes the message shows as simply blank. Anyone know why this might be? Screenshot_2016 01 12 11 35 13

Why don't you try reinstalling whats app? It might help you!
