I've read and watched videos about it but I do not have the menu option on my device. Running android 5.0. I have tried to download apps to do this for me but none work. Anyone know if it can be done. I have a crappy 4g lte signal but a great 3g one.

a Menu option is inbuilt application in your device. you can not download it as a separate app, if it is not working in your device. only one option is for you, factory reset your device. that will clean your system and restore a new system.
