I have a Samsung S5 which I think is a really good phone problem I have is how to increase the amount of times it rings before going onto answer machine. My phone rings 4 times then straight onto message how do I increase the amount of times it rings fed up missing calls because of this

You can use a shortcode to do this. Dial *## and send and you should get an on-screen message giving the voicemail number and the duration before it diverts. Write down the voicemail number then dial *61+1nnnnnnnnnnnnn*11*xx# and send (nnnnnnnnnnnnn is the voicemail number, xx is the delay which can be between 05-30 secs). This only works on GSM phones but you could also try your carrier to see if they can change it.

There is no way for you to set the "number of rings" before it goes to voicemail. It is actually an amount of time set by your carrier, something like 30 or 40 seconds. You can call customer service and see if they can reset yours. Or ask them for a solution.

My carrier, U. S. Cellular, reset the length of time for rings. There used to be a way (with other phones) the consumer had control over that and the volume at which the ringer could be set. Two things I think should be controlled by the consumer.
