Can I disable Gmail?

Hi,
Does anyone know if I can disable Gmail when using Inbox?
Does it use its own sync or is it via Gmail?

Do you mean that your Gmail messages is sync with your inbox in your phone?

Yes, you can go ahead and disable Gmail if you keep getting notifications from both apps.

Cheers mate, wasn't sure with it being "Inbox by Gmail"
It's now disabled & updates uninstalled.

No,

I no longer get Gmail notification, but was unsure if Inbox relied on Gmail being installed.

I'm still getting used to Lollipop as with kitkat you had a separate Gmail account in "accounts", I can now see that everything Google is sync'd via the "Google" account.
