I just flashed superSU, which is how I've always rooted my Nexus (I presume you have a custom recovery). Latest SuperSU (2.46) is here.

Which version of TWRP are you using? The latest version (2.8.6) has issues with some binaries. Until it's resolved use 2.8.5.3.

Ok. Do you have the SuperSU app installed? If so, when you open it check if it needs updating, if it's not installed then re-download the zip and try again.

I have the SuperSU app and when I launch it it says "no binaries SU have been installed". I will try and download SuperSU 2.46 again. OK so I was using SuperSU 2.16 this is why it was not working, I'm so silly
Thanks mate
