Lst week via 3 UK the firmware on my Note 8 was upgrade to KitKat from Jellybean.
Up to that time it had been perfect !
Now within moments of booting up it says it is overheating and shuts off most apps. The battery also drains much faster and does feel hot !
I then looked on the web and noted the issue to be world wide and six months old ! Why is it still being run ?
Samsung service told me yesterday that it 'may' have been due to a wifi download issue !
They could not take it back to jellybean but said when they flashed it the issue would be resolved.
After 6 hours and 40 miles travel it was NOT ! Soon as I got home and powered it up it overheated
Fortunatley 3 are better than Samsung, my new Note 8 arrives tomorrow and its staying on JELLYBEAN !
Has anyone else had this issue or better still solved it ?? Clearly Samsung cant !
Ian.
