What languages to learn to get a good basic for android app development?

Hi guys,

so i wanted to make apps for like a month, and ofcourse you need to have a knowledge of the basic stuff.
I learned quite some javascript, and now im learning java. The thing is am i on the right track?
I dont want to spend time on things that i dont have to know but i want to know what i am doing since i am planning to make apps for a long time. So anyone any suggestions? Id love hearing back from you guys!

Java is a good thing to learn because it's very common and has a lot of uses. I guess it depends on your intentions / what kind of app you want to make.

Also you can try some cross-platform engines such cocos2d-x or Unity3D (c#, javascript)

Indeed Nadim, you are on the right track and Java would be the right choice for developing apps for android and moreover it is a native kind of developing application and google supports java app more than any other SDK.
