Unidentified Notification

Over the years I have visited the forum for advise but this is the first time I have posted a thread. I hope I have done so correctly. Thanks.

I have a 'new' notification appearing on my HTC Desire S. It appeared about 2 weeks ago and was only on momentarily, it has just reappeared, but is 'staying' longer! I have searched the web for Android Notifications but can't see it. I have taken a screen print and would appreciate if someone could look at it and tell me what it means. It has a star/flower in the bottom left, a letter 'a' at the top and an 'arrow' at the bottom right.

I have two Amazon apps, they've been on my phone for years.

When I pull down the Notification screen the 'app' in question 'disappears', i.e. I don't get any indication of what it is, like I would with a normal app.
