Google Nexus 5 — Enable 'Ok Google' hotword for languages other than US English

One of the features of the Nexus 5/KitKat was the hotword search from the homescreen. While it's not on constantly, as on the Moto X, it was still a selling point and a few people, including myself, were unhappy at it being only available when the phone language was set to US English. While you can obviously set this as the phone language (if English is your first language) the voice recognition didn't work too well. There's a resolution which lets you change it to English GB, Italian, German, Spanish, French or Japanese. Root is required, of course, but it's pretty simple, and it works
