Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc — How do I copy and paste?

So last night I was trying to copy a friend's phone number to send to another friend but I couldn't figure out how to do so. There seems to be no copy and paste function on this phone. Anyone know what I may have done wrong?

Press and hold until the menu dialogue box pops up... select copy... go to field where you want to paste the text... press and hold again... select paste from the option box. Rinse,

repeat.

Sometimes there is no Copy button. Then you do "select all" and after that long press again the text and select "copy" or "cut"

I so totally read that as copy and pasta... I think I need to get some lunch... but yeah it's totally simple! Just push and hold and follow the on screen instructions! Kisses!
