Is the Samsung Vibrant getting Gingerbread soon?!

Is this rumor true? When is the Gingerbread update for the Samsung Vibrant coming?

I heard about it months ago but I've seen neither hide nor hair of it beyond people asking the same question! So I really don't know when the Gingerbread update will be released. I saw last week that the update is supposed to drop for the Xperia play in the new couple of weeks but it might be just like with the Vibrant, where it keeps getting pushed back until its almost vaperware. I hope they get their act together soon! :(
