Does anyone know if the Moto G7 Plus can shoot in the DNG file format?

Yes you can do it. To click the photos in the DNG format you can select the manual option in the camera app and select the format in which wanted to shoot the picture. Hpe you got your answer.

DNG file format? Do you mean 'PNG' ?

For my mobile phone, there is no way to change the default file format for shoot. Check the settings of the camera app of your G7 to find any options for that purpose.
