In Windows 10 device manager, select and uninstall the device (maybe there is a yellow exclamation icon).
Unplug the USB cable.
Download SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_ver_1.5.65.0.exe from Samsung official website.
Run it on your Windows 10.
Connect your Galaxy Tab 10.1 to PC with an USB cable.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

Thank you James Watson, The only device with a yellow exclamation icon is "unrecognized device" I have already previously carried out what you are suggesting but to no avail. There must be some other solution somewhere. Thank you anyway and maybe you will contact me again.

Have you tried using third party apps like AirMore? You can use AirMore to wirelessly transfer you files from your Tablet to your PC. Just go to their web page airmore.com and try it. :D

Thank you James Watson. I already have all required drivers installed and updated. I reinstalled the driver you suggested just to be sure but no joy. Seems like I have a jinx. Hopefully somewhere there is an answer. Thanks for trying

Try wifi connecting by using a third-party samsung mobile manager tool. With its help, you can transfer files between Samsung device and computer directly via wifi connecting.

There are several method to transfer files from Samsung to computer.
1.Samsung Kies, which is designed for Samsung users to backup and restore Samsung phone data on PC.
2.Google Account, go to "Settings" and select "Backup and reset". then find the "Google account" section.
3.Or you could use some 3rd party Samsung data backup tool.

Is your computer unable to recognize the phone via USB? This situation is very common. The usual solution is to change a USB cable.Or you can also transfer data via WiFi, this technology is mature. There are various program available, some of which are free, and some are paid. The program I often use called Samsung Backup, which I could use to simply back up files to PC.
