I have a problem in that I cannot answer incoming calls (The other party can't hear me) or make outgoing calls (again the party cant hear me).
I have uninstalled & reinstalled but to no avail.
Any suggestions?

Make sure that you haven't disabled any application permissions WhatsApp required when you installed it.
