How do I find the low limit setting for the battery. Need to know when to recharge.

To get your battery status displayed on your notification bar on the home screen.
Go to settings, tap on the battery icon.
There you will see a toggle to display battery status , toggle it on, and you should see it on the notification bar at the top of your home screen.
