Hi everyone
Can anyone tell me how can i find out what is in a software - system update before i install it?
The last one of these updates i installed contained a lot of apps that were incapatible for my device! And i don't want to make the same mistake twice!

In general, when you get a notification for new version of system, in Settings - System update, you will find description of the new version.
Read it carefully before you make a decision to update your system.

Download size < 0.15 MB. But also accurate enough, ad-free & free.

The only description i have been given in system update is a couple of what they call version numbers! And there's no other description except to say the update is a security patch for the 6.0 software. And thats what the last one said, when i recieved 48 new apps.
I think google is trying to overload my storage with all kinds of junk because they no longer want to support the older software!

I think your update should be from the manufacture of your phone, Samsung, or your carrier, other than google. And some suppliers of system update are used to giving more details description to their consumers while the others are not.
Maybe you will have to google and have a study for any new system update before accepting it. :(

I asked sprint, they said the update was googles. Google said it was samsungs. And samsung said it was sprints!
I feel like a cheep bottle of wine being passed around at a frat party!
Isn't there somewhere on the Internet to look it up using the software version numbers?

If then, you may post your question in official community of Samsung.
https://us.community.samsung.com/
There you can expect response from a Samsung Moderator. Good luck to you.

Took your advice. Contacted samsung.
With my questions. I'm waiting for a reply,
But to be honest with you- i don't expect any positive results!
You see it has become quite appearent to me that google and samsung are trying to overload the storage of the older model android devices, because Google doesn't want to support the older software anymore, and if they overload my storage they both just might be able to sell me a new phone!
Well if they succeed, the next phone I purchase will be a apple iPhone!
When i hear from samsung i'll let you know what they said.
Thanks for your help !

Just a follow up!
Left a post on samsungs forum like you suggested. So far all i'm getting is the same kind of run-a-round that google support team gave me! But i expected that you see if google manages to overload my storage with this junk, then both google and samsung stand a chance to sell me a new phone!
But i WILL have the last word, because the next phone I purchase will be a apple iPhone! And we will see how those bandits like that:D
Thanks again for your help!
