Hi, I was told that it's possible to download something to make it easy for a total novice to install CyanogenMod on my HTC One M8. I found a web page which takes me to beta.download.cyanogenmod.org/ but I'm not certain what I need to do. Grateful for any help...

Firstly, you need to download the zips to your phone. Find the correct rom zip and the latest Gapps package (Google apps)from here. Then, before you attempt to flash any zips, you'll need ADB set up on your pc/laptop, a custom recovery (TWRP is recommended) and therefore an unlocked bootloader and root. There's an excellent guide on how to unlock the One M8 bootloader here. They're all pretty straightforward, and if you get stuck we're here to help. Once you have all that set up it's easy; go into recovery, back up your existing rom (just in case), wipe data (not the sdcard, just your rom data), and then install the zips then reboot.
